Freddie Dunn Jr. is a Washington, DC–based trumpeter, flugelhornist, bandleader, composer and educator whose sound connects jazz with soul, funk, hip-hop and contemporary groove. A longtime collaborator with Fertile Ground and Lafayette Gilchrist’s New Volcanoes, Dunn has performed internationally while remaining deeply connected to the Baltimore–Washington music community.
